Hi, I'm Himanshu.

My family inspires my drive and sense of purpose. I come from a large family, and I’ve learned that when one of us thrives, we all do. My work in brand strategy isn’t just about creating beautiful identities; it’s about building futures. By crafting purposeful brands, I believe I can lift communities, provide resources, and shape a better world, not just for my own family, but for countless families everywhere.

PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY

EXPERIENCES & EDUCATION

  • Growing up, I was surrounded by the vibrancy of city life and the simplicity of my Garhwali roots in a large family of 16 members. Even as a kid, I preferred doodling cars and creatures in my maths textbooks. Playing with Hot Wheels and Lego Building Blocks.

  • Despite my passion for art, I ended up studying Automobile Engineering, partially chasing the dream of merging cars and creativity. In reality, I discovered that I wasn’t a fan of solving formulas; maths and I simply didn’t get along. While I appreciated the logical problem-solving side and learning how cars really worked, I often found myself yearning to sketch rather than learning about gear ratios and firing orders.

  • To blend my creativity and solutions I turned to design and found myself at IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay. I worked on projects like cost-effective dental healthcare vehicles for rural areas and compact garbage disposal units for Indian cities. I discovered much more joy in exploring user empathy, creative problem-solving, and visualising solutions. I learned design thinking during my year long assistantship at IIT that helped me study methodologies to find purpose and come up with impactful solutions. I leaned into Visual Communication, Animation and (Industrial) Product Design during this time.

  • My artistic instincts kept drawing me towards something more expressive. Graphic design became my outlet, blending art and problem-solving. For three years, I helped organisations create visuals that resonate. I soon noticed most brands needed deeper clarity, beyond just pretty visuals. That’s when I shifted to Design Strategy, aiming to guide businesses in finding their purpose and aligning their visuals with a meaningful brand story.

  • While deeply immersed in design, my family remains my anchor. I live with my supportive mother, who has been my constant source of strength, and my wonderful wife, Joshika, who inspires me every day. Losing my father in 2019 was a pivotal moment that reshaped my perspective on what truly matters.

    Growing up in a close-knit family taught me the value of community and joy—principles that now guide my purpose: to create meaningful solutions that impact not just my family but countless others.

    As a Design Strategist, I help brands uncover their purpose, craft authentic stories, and build solutions - visual or physical - that endure.

To empower brands with strategic clarity and purpose-driven design, helping them align their goals according to the need of their audience and create and empathetic, value driven culture.

To become a global leader in branding, guiding purpose-led brands towards meaningful growth and positive world impact - as a CBO in a major conglomerate or through a thriving personal agency.
